Frequently asked questions about plans
What is a standard analysis?
A standard analysis evaluates a single citation using Google Gemini. It reviews the surrounding passage and openly available material from the cited paper to summarize its role, evidence level, and confidence score. This handles the vast majority of citations quickly and accurately.
What is a deep analysis?
A deep analysis uses Anthropic Claude for citations involving complex methodology, conflicting findings, or ambiguous relationships. On Pro and Lab plans, deep analysis can trigger automatically when ambiguity is detected, or you can run it on demand.
What happens when I reach my limit?
You will see a notice in the side panel showing when your monthly quota resets, with an option to upgrade if you need more analyses. If your deep quota runs out on Pro or Lab, citations continue processing as standard analyses.
When do quotas reset? Do unused analyses roll over?
Quotas reset on your monthly billing date (or the first of the month on the Free plan). Unused analyses do not roll over to the next month.
Can I cancel or change plans?
Yes. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe, and you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time directly in the customer portal. There are no lock-in contracts or cancellation fees.
